More Power to You: Becoming an Online Learner
“Reflective Practitioner”
As one first decide to become an “Online Learner,” he or she must first decide what are his or her “motives” behind taking this route. Is it because he or she may feel as if it is going to be easy. Does he or she simple does not want to go to class. This should be the first steps that one must decide on before he or she becomes an “Online Learner.”
The second most crucial part of becoming an “Online Learner” is making sure one has all of the necessary technical equipment to be a successful student. If one does not have all of the necessary equipment or does not have reliable access to the necessary equipment, he or she will not be successful as an “Online Learner.” There is nothing more that an Online Instructor dislikes more than to have a student state that he or she could not get to a computer or that his or her Internet Service went out. The potential “Online Learner” has to be honest with him or herself and what he or she is trying to accomplish or get out of the class.
